After releasing the second single for her eighth studio album, ‘Bitch better have my money’ at the start of July and displaying her badass side, Rihanna has opted for a more feminine andglamorous side for her new fragrance. On Tuesday evening, she announced the big news on twitter, which revealed the name and the image for her new perfume ‘RiRi’.
Denis Leupold was the chosen one to shot this rare side of the mega popular singer. She seemed to have been opting for a Marilyn Monroe look from the movie ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blonds’ dressed in all pink with a touch of gold earrings and pearl bracelets. Needless to say, Rihanna rocked the outfit as she showed a softer, more romantic side to her. This seems to be a 180 turn from her former fragrances which were more on the seductive and sexually suggestive side.
Perfume ‘RiRi’ will be the singer’s sixth fragrance and will be officially released in late summer 2015. It was revealed that ‘RiRi’ is a floral-fruity type and it contains notes of mandarin, cassis, rum, passion fruit, pink freesia, jasmine, orange blossom and honeysuckle. It comes in a pink bottle that fits perfectly with the ad. The base notes contain Indonesian sandalwood, skin musk, Siam benzoin and vanilla.
And before ‘RiRi’ hits the shelves (coming in three sizes of Eau de Parfume) in September, people are still buzzing about Rihanna’s latest music video ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’ which shocked a lot of people with its scenes of violence, blood, torture and nudity. The video that lasts for seven minutes is more like a short blockbuster movie that came from a Tarantino-esque workshop, guesting well-known actors Eric Roberts and MadsMikkelsen.
