Taking into account that Valentine’s Day was almost nine months ago, it’s to be expected that many babies will be popping out sometime soon, if you know what we mean;wink, wink.
And what better way to start the baby boom then by welcoming the baby girl of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen?
The famous couple met back in 2008 at the set of their movie, Jumper and got engaged in the same year. However, they called off their engagement two years later, in 2010, but then got back together in three months’ time. This time around they decided not to get married, yet that didn’t stop them from wanting a child. The Heart of Dixie actress even said for Cosmopolitan last year, “30 is a whole different thing; you can slow down and focus on family,” she then added, “Starting a family one day is definitely something I look forward to.”Rachel Bilson’s wish was revealed to have come true in May when it was announced that the duo were expecting their first child and that they were very excited about it.
We bet you’re interested what the couple named their newborn baby. Well, it looks like the two stars turned to Disney and Grimm’s Fairytales to inspiration when they decided to name their daughter Briar Rose. To jog your memory, Briar Rose is Sleeping Beauty aka. Aurora’s alias when she was living with the three fairies in the woods as they were trying to change the fate that was cast upon her by Maleficent. In the Brother Grimm’s version, there was never mention of the name Aurora, the princess’ name had always been Briar Rose, however she had two children whom she named L’Aurore (Dawn) and Le Jour (Day).
We wish the best to the couple and their daughter, Briar Rose who we hope to see soon, and judging by her parents, she will surely be a heartthrob in the future. No doubt about that.
