A lot has happened after the release of Adele’s second album, ‘21’. First, it became a huge deal, it was critically acclaimed and everyone was crazy about it and once the Grammy awards started rolling (seven of them), everyone understood why there was so much buzz around it.
Adele was pushed to the spotlight, everyone knew who she was, a year later she joined the many celebrities who sang for James Bond. She wrote, composed and sang the theme song for Skyfall, which shared the name with the movie. Then came on the hiatus and her baby boy Angelo and now it seems the wait might finally be over. Fans will surely rejoice at the idea of getting a new album in the next few months.
If you don’t want to take our word for it, take Billboards as we’ve learned from them that Adele’s new album is supposed to hit the shelves in November. Adele and her label have kept their mouth shut since 2014 about a possible follow up to ‘21’, there was supposed to be an album ‘25’ but there was no news about it, so fans just kept hoping it would come eventually. Now, however, the wait seems to be over and there is definitely going to be a lot of hype about it, considering how the former was the top selling album of 2011 and 2012.
We’re definitely hoping that Adele will keep her tradition going and that her album, 27, will see the light of the day in November. We don’t have a lot to go by, but Kelly Clarkson mentioned country sound, while Ed Sheeran heard that the album was going to be good if we were to go by his words: “I haven’t heard, but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’”
