A business partnership has been established between Queen Bey and the owner of British retailor Topshop, Sir Philip Green. The duo’s upcoming line which has yet to be named will launch next autumn and it will include accessories, footwear and clothing aimed for dancing, fitness and sports. The clothes will be produced by Parkwood Topshop Athletic and the line will be available in Topshop stores online and off.
The union comes to no surprise as Beyoncé had shown her appreciation for Topshop many times over the years, by wearing their clothes. We are definitely ready for their partnership happen, Queen B herself prepared us for it. Besides, this is not the first time that the Drunk in Love singer is collaborating with a retailer. Her first venture into the fashion world happened in 2006 when she and her mother launched aready-to-wear fashion brand, House of Deréon. Last year, Beyoncé worked with the Swedish retailer, H&M and she had also collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger for several fragrances.
On her business with Topshop, the singer said: “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking. Working with their development team to create and produce a technical and fashion led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
Topshop could not have picked a better person for the job, we are positive that many people will jump at the opportunity to wear anything that has Queen B’s signature. As the British retailer is building its reputation in the States, it currently has four flagship stores, there is no doubt that the mega popular singer will be of great help.
We will patiently wait for fall 2015 and hopefully as we do, we will get to see some sneak peeks of the line. Stay tuned for more news on this partnership.
