The 21st season of the hit dance show competition featuring your favorite stars will be heading to the television screens on September 14. You already know the hosts, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews and the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, former pro Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Unfortunately, after participating in all of the previous seasons, head judge, Len Goodman will not be returning for the newest season due to his commitment to Strictly Come Dancing aka. the original Dancing with the Stars.
With the revelation of all the stars and their professional partners, the new season, still marking 10 years of the series existence is ready to start. There are going to be 13 celebrities competing for the mirror ball trophy and looking at the bunch, it’s going to be hard to find a winner among them. The staff managed to get celebrities of various professions, and when you see the bunch you can see all that personality oozing out.
The most interesting celebrities have to be Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega, that’s right, DWTS is having their first married couple on the show. The ‘Spy Kids’ star and member of Big Time Rush will be hitting the stage with Mark Ballas and Whitney Carson. Reality stars Kim Zolciak Biermann and Tamar Braxton will be dancing with Tony Dovolani and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who also happens to be the winner of the last season with partner Rumor Willis. Hayes Grier, the Vine star will be the youngest contestant of this season and the 15 year old will be dancing with Emma Slater.
Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin is going to dance with Derek Hough. Paula Deen will be the resident chef, after her controversies she seems to be working on her image, hopefully her partner, Louis van Amstel will be of help. Backstreet Boys’ member Nick Carter is going to be with Shana Burgess, while the famous Chaka Khan is paired with Keo Motsepe. Actor Gary Busey will be the oldest contestant at the age of 71 and his partner will be Anna Trebunskaya.
Victor Espinoza will be the only athlete at the show and he will be dancing with Karina Smirnoff who is back from her break. Andy Grammar performed his song ‘Honey, I’m Good’ on the last season, but this time he will leave his mic and grab his dancing shoes with Allison Holker. This leaves Alek Skarlatos, the recipient of the Legion of Honour who is paired with Lindsey Arnold, former member of the show’s troupe.
As mentioned above, since judge Len Goodman won’t be returning for the 21st season, the show will feature several guest judges, no word on who it’s going to be though. We will just have to be patient and wait a bit. There’s only a week away until the show starts, do you already have an idea who might be the winner? If you think it’s hard to pick one now, we imagine it will only be harder once they hit the dancefloor.
