It was at the Coachella concert, or to be more specific, April 13th, that there was an announcement about the Swedish retailer H&M collaborating with Alexander Wang for their 10th anniversary designers collaborations. Now that was some very exciting news for the lovers of the two, especially considering how Alexander Wang was to be the first American designer to partner up with H&M.
It’s safe to say that things are getting more real days which is probably due to the fact that Wang’s line for H&M has been officially revealed. Good thing is that the waiting is finally over and that you can finally feast your eyes on the delicious pieces, but the bad thing is that the line for men and women will hit 250 stores and online on November 6th.
The sports themed line includes monochromatic colours; basically, everything is heavy on the grey and black with white featuring here and there. There’s a lot of skin tight pieces like crop tops and leggings, but there are also strappy dresses, pullovers, parkas and various accessories. The one thing you will not able to miss in Alexander Wang is the “Wang”, let’s just say that when it comes to branding, this line goes over the roof. And if it doesn’t say WANG, well then it’s AW, so that everyone can know who you’re wearing.
Unlike the last H&M collaboration with Isabel Marant, this one will introduce original pieces as said by Wang, as he is adamant on not only showcasing cheaper versions of his well known items. But, fear not, the Alexander Wang line for H&M will still include the designer’s signature moves such as thecroc effect.
While we all wait for the clothes to hit the shelves (online and off), let’s all take a few minutes to appreciate this sporty fairy tale.
